Why do iPhone photos need converting at all?
HEIC is Apple's format, and plenty of apps and older devices don't open it. JPG opens everywhere.
Does it work on HEIF too, not just HEIC?
Yes, both HEIC and HEIF go in, JPG comes out.
Why won't my iPhone photos open on Windows?
Windows ships without HEIC support unless you install a codec. JPG opens on everything, so converting sidesteps it.
Does this upload my files anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Files never leave your device, there's no server to send them to, and no account or log.
